I do not believe in rooting for another place's team. It just seems so...wrong. I also don't give a crap about baseball, just free tshirts and fireworks.

Phillies, Cubs, Dodgers, Mets (WC) in NL.
Yankees, ChiSox, Angels, Red Sox (WC) in AL.
Washington (NL East) is by FAR the worst squad in MLB.

Some nice pitching by Burnett and Andy. Here's hoping Sabathia follows up with a good one tomorrow!

I don't know what's scarier about the Blue Jays, the fact that they have virtually an entire starting 5 on the DL or the fact that that as April closes they look to be on top of the AL East. Didn't see that one coming.

Well, no matter how they do, I root for my Rays and to a lesser extent, the Marlins because they were first.

You must live around here, then. See, I started watching baseball before we HAD teams in Florida. Ergo, I grew up on the Braves. And I don't switch loyalties. No matter how badly we suck. So, while my family went from Braves, to Marlins, to Rays, I stuck with the Braves.
It is nice to see someone who roots for the Rays though. Even here in Pinellas, where they play, it seems we have more Yankees fans than anything else.

We went to the Brandon Toys'r'us on Monday and all they had was RED SOX!!! I was like...WHAT???
They have t-shirts, onesies, caps, everything...I didn't understand it at all...and yeah, I can remember when we didn't have baseball teams in Florida on a permanent basis but since Steinbrenner's always been such a part of the this area, we were Yankees fans before Marlins...and when my brother was stationed in Colorado Springs, he followed the Rockies as well.
You know, UT has the site of Babe Ruth's longest homer.

The bad thing about Florida being America's retirement home, it's all big market teams that people root for.

That blows. The Brandon Toys R Us has always been a bit weird, though. At least as long as I can remember.

I simply can't believe how OFTEN the Mets have a runner on third with less than two outs and can't get the guy in!
And whenever there are two outs, count on any runners as being stranded.
Can anyone else but Santana go six innings, give up less than five runs, or (hopefully) both?

I sincerely hope there is something physically wrong with Oliver Perez, because if not, the Mets have utterly wasted $37,000,000 for the next three years.
Note to Sean Green: Let the batter hit the ball if you have no "open base"! Walking in the winning run is ridiculous!

I doubt it, maybe a bit out of shape, but this is Ollie being Ollie. Personally, I hope he never has a good start in a Mets uniform ever again, but that's for obvious reasons.

It was nice to see the Mets sweep the "mini-series" in Atlanta, but Delgado HAS to catch that pop up!
I fully expected Chipper Jones to knock a pitch out of the park and beat the Mets (Mutts) after that error.
Ollie Perez coming out of the bullpen scares me MORE than having him start games.

Yeah, I
almost
feel bad for you. It's seemingly even worse than the Adam Eaton deal.
Metfan, you should totally come down for one of the Phils-Mets games, it'll be fun

Actually, I went down to Queens for last night's game! Mets (as usual) had their hitting shoes on early, knocked out the opponent's starting pitcher in NO time at all, couldn't do squat against the Phillies' bullpen, and hung on to win.
Having taken four straight versus Atlanta and Philly, they will probably lose 2 of 3 to the Pirates.

Pirates are a team with good pitching, it wouldn't suprise me. The starting rotation for the Phillies is even worse then it is historically, how odd.
