More screenshots for everyone. First, my Windows desktops:

Same Cadillac Ciel concept wallpaper that's on my Ubuntu desktop on my main display, and an older wallpaper I had made of the Cadillac Converj concept (what will become the Cadillac ELR). Yes, my home desktop unfortunately still runs Windows XP. Not up-to-date, yes, but it runs great on my home desktop. I want to upgrade, but I will after I get a better job Cheesy

Next, my netbook's Ubuntu desktop. I actually have it set to change every hour. So here they are.... all 5 of them:

Cadillac ELR

Cadillac Ciel concept

Cadillac Converj concept

Cadillac CTS-V Black Diamond Edition

Cadillac XLR-V

I made each and every one of those wallpapers. Some like my Ciel, Converj, and CTS-V wallpapers I adapted from bigger images for my desktop. Others, like the ELR and XLR-V wallpapers, I made specifically for my netbook. I do have a couple CTS-V Black Diamond wallpapersfor my desktop, but I want to make one more desktop-specific wallpaper before I activate my wallpaper changer on my desktop's Ubuntu OS.

Yes, I'm running a Cadillac theme on both my computers, on both OS's. Sue me Cheesy

Finally got screenshots of my Ubuntu from my desktop computer. Like on my netbook, I have these wallpapers set to randomly change every hour.

Cadillac Ciel concept

Cadillac CTS-V Coupe: Black Diamond Edition

Cadillac Converj concept - to become the Cadillac ELR

Cadillac CTS-V family: Black Diamond Edition picture taken in San Francisco

Cadillac ULC (Urban Luxury Concept)

Cadillac CTS-V Coupe SCCA Race Car

Again, I like to make my own wallpapers from various images, and custom typesets. I think only the Ciel and Converj wallpapers are shared with my netbook (albeit different resolutions). The rest I made specifically for my desktop computer. Again, I'm running a Cadillac theme, and probably will for a while. I do change wallpapers once in a while.

Anybody change their desktops in the last couple weeks or haven't shown theirs yet?

Here is my desktop when I want to run Windows XP Mode.  Note that I rarely use it.  I just have it for nostalgia purposes.

Here is Chakotay.  I got it on a desktop slide show every 30 minutes.  I got a dragon theme.  I love dragons.

Here is Trinity's current desktop.  No dragons.  But that's okay seeing as how it's not time for them to be displayed at this time.  Soon.  Real soon. Smiley

Wow.  I think they are all the same size.  Well, that's no surprise considering that I captured each of them from Trinity. ^_^;  RDP for the win.

I've made some significant changes to my desktop.  If I like them enough, I may actually put these changes on my laptop.  Well, here's what it looks like:

Here's what I've done.

I've installed RocketDock and Rainmemter, got "rid" of my Desktop icons (I actually hid them) and auto-hid my taskbar.  This gives me a minimalist look while giving most of the information that I could under normal circumstances.  And, as you can see, I've got "Voyager" at high-warp. Smiley

So far, so good; I kind of like it.

That's pretty good. I'm researching RocketDock now, and it appears to be similar in operation to Linux's Docky, Cairo Dock, and Avant Window Manager... as well as Mac OS X's dock. I might adopt that, as well as the minimalist appearance for my netbook's Win7.

Pretty good, JSW. And show us your Toothless desktop Cheesy

Well, finally, I grabbed a couple screenshots of my netbook's Windows 7 desktop. Do note, I'm running WIndows 7 Starter on it and haven't upgraded to Home Premium yet, so I'm stuck with the default wallpaper. So here it is:

I used to run a large number of icons on my Windows 7, but since I reorganized my start menu's programs, and the limited real estate on my netbook vs. my desktop, I decided to do away with the icons. And the other reason I did away with desktop icons is this:

Yes, JSW, I too went ahead and grabbed RocketDock for my Windows 7. Now that I look at my desktop, it kinda looks like the Enlightenment desktop environment used by some lightweight Linux distributions. Click here to see what I mean I like the minimalist design for my Windows 7. However, I have my RocketDock set up more as a launcher than as a launcher/task manager like Mac OS X does. That, and I don't have any special applets for RocketDock... yet... nor do I have a Start Menu. So I still use my auto-hidden taskbar, though rarely.

Overall, I like the look and feel of it.

I doubt I'll use it on my desktop computer... not sure.

Another screenshot of my Ubuntu from my desktop computer, only running the KDE desktop environment rather than my usual GNOME. I even have transparent windows for it too click here to see. I took the background from twilightrealm.net and did some photoshop stuff to get the Triforce emblem and Legend of Zelda logo to look completely integrated with the background. Overall, I like how it looks.

Well, I just got six shots to share with you.  Most of them from my phone that I am able to take screenshots of.  Which means, there is a possibility of me abusing this feature.  But, worry you not:  I won't do so, uh, much. Cheesy

First, my Android* ones:

Notice the hearts?  Jealous?  I know you are!

The Star Chart app allows me to view the stars and planets at any time.  It's actually pretty neat.

Yes, that is WinAmp for Android.  It's a bit better than the built-in one, I suppose.

Yes, that is TeamSpeak 3, and yes I do keep some scores of some of my favorite teams.  Otherwise, ESPN's ScoreCenter has no real use...

There is my lock screen.

(that is a thumbnail; click to get the full picture)

Our very own Viper Inferno modified that wallpaper for me.  I really like it. ^_^;

(that is a thumbnail; click to get the full picture)

And that is my laptop's screen.

*By the way, I have named my cell phone Zelda.  Odd, I know.  But, there you have it.

Another screenshot of Ubuntu from my desktop computer, running my usual "GNOME" desktop environment with a Mac OS X look. I have a bit of a green look for Ubuntu this time, though it's limited only to the wallpaper. The wallpaper itself is Saria from The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time... a wallpaper I made myself. Isn't Photoshop wonderful?  Grin

Wow!  The forums are warning against thread necromancy.  How amazing!

Well, I don't think it's a wise idea for me to post a new thread considering that this one, despite its age, is still on the front page.

Well, I fell in love with the image, and I just cropped it to make it a desktop wallpaper.

Anyway, here's the desktop:

My first screenshot here in quite a while. I have made a number of changes to my Ubuntu linux desktop since then. For one, I'm running a newer version of Ubuntu with a newer version of the GNOME desktop environment.

I am running GNOME 3 now instead of the older GNOME 2.32... which actually has a smartphone-style app menu. Although its UI not as customizable as the old GNOME, I still managed to give it that Mac OS X look that I like... sans Global Menu. The wallpaper is another one that I put together myself, featuring Link and Zelda from Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

Thought I'd try and revive this thread instead of having to make a whole new one.

Newer Ubuntu, changed the desktop environment. Running KDE now instead of GNOME, since it has better multi-display support than GNOME and Ubuntu's default Unity. More specifically, I can use different wallpapers on different monitors. I did have a Windows 7 style setup until I recently changed it. Now, I have more of a Mac OS X style interface, Global Menu included. The Hatsune Miku wallpapers are ones that I made myself, using a stock wallpaper, an abstract wallpaper, a couple of Miku images, and a number of Miku concert screenshots. Cute Vocaloid, isn't she? Cheesy

Nice, Viper!  Smiley

I'd post a desktop screen, but it'd probably be something I've done before.  I haven't changed from dragons on my desktop, and my laptop is still the one I've had before.  Haven't changed it.

New screenshot of Bodhi Linux, my other Linux distribution Cheesy Instead of KDE or GNOME, Bodhi runs the E17 Enlightenment desktop. It's a lightweight, modular, yet eye-candy rich desktop. Like KDE and the older GNOME, I can make Enlightenment look just about any way I want. So for this desktop, I included my custom-made SRT Viper (formerly Dodge Viper) wallpaper, a custom floating dock/launcher, and custom made time & date. Lots of red, with my favorite car and screenname-sake Cheesy
