Very nice, both sweet and wistful. I like the contrast between the fantasy world as a reality and the grown-up world as a strange place that needed to be unlocked, and the idea that he drove her away by trying to keep her. Very strong ending, too.
By contrast, the beginning is a bit weak and could use a little more development to draw readers into the story. I fully enjoyed the concept and the thoughtful ending, but some readers might not get that far without more of a beginning t... (more) |
