I really liked the fact that you used actual canon to help set your AU canon up. ^_^
-Hope, I Understand:
I'm really loving the way you're presenting Oliver. All confused and amused by his emotions because, dang it, this is ridiculous. ^_^
I enjoy their banter, how comfortable she is with him (even though she barely knows him....).
I feel like you're using the word 'lass' a lot. But it's hard to decided since Oliver didn't talk to a lot of girls in the books...

Poor Oliver! ;____; Everything was going so well! Gah! Why did Ron have to come looking for his girlfriend? >_>...
I think it's interesting that Hermione's not more confused about her comfort level with Oliver...

I love their exchange about the socks, very cute. Hermione and her shoe rack were amusing too.
Haha, Oliver's reaction to Gone with the Wind is awesome, as if the very idea of the cheese of Rhett is putting his manliness in jeopardy.

I hate when girls react that way to someone who's been in love with them for so long, they do all these things for them because they love them and the woman's first reaction is ULTERIOR MOTIVE! Gah! His deep feelings for her don't change the fact that Oliver has been the best friend she's ever had, but her own admission!
He's never taken advantage of her.
Never tried to use her.
Never done anything but be her friend, even when SHE'S presented the situation!
What does it matter if he's in love with her?
