I'm hoping to get the entire review written, but I might have to come back and do it again.
I wanted to applaud your characterisation of Ron Weasley in this story. It's utterly spot-on and shows a clear devotion to the fandom. Your vision of the relationship between Ron and Ginny coincides with my own feelings on the siblings, and it truly is done exceptionally well.
Your canon capitalisation is somewhat inconsistent. In several places, you capitalise Sorting (which is correct, according to the Harry Potter Lexicon), but in others you don't. That was the error that most grabbed my attention.
I appreciated the vocab lessons at the end of each chapter, for though I knew the words, it's amazing how many people don't, and trying to clarify in that manner shows a rare compassion for you readers that I find wholly refreshing.
I was truly astounded to find such a gem in my first scan of the archive, and I am very much looking forward to finding more. Thank you for making my foray into the .moon fandom so wonderful.

THANK YOU! I love Ron very much (as I'm sure you can guess) and there aren't many 'general' stories about him. I like reading R/H as much as the next person but I also would like more stories that focused on Ron as a character. I also think that his relationship with Ginny would be subject to intense highs and lows, given how close they are in age.

The vocab sections were born out of conversations with my American HP friends about certain words that might puzzle non-Anglophiles. In my most recent talk, I found out that, much like jumper, "flapjack" means something totally different in the US, so had to put that in the story I was writing.

Thanks for pointing that out, I'll try and correct those errors. My beta reader didn't spot them!

*curtsies* Always a pleasure and I'm glad you enjoyed my story. I'm currently writing one about Ginny's second year which I hope to upload here when it's finished. :)

"Death! Doom! Destruction!"
I love that foreshadowing. Ron has no idea what's in store for him over the next few years but apparently, the ghoul knows.
I loved taking a peak inside Ron's mind. In the books, Harry is the POV character, so we see everything how he sees it. It was interesting to see the beginning of this epic story from someone else's point of view.
You did a nice job of not repeating the books word-for-word. You quoted a bit when appropriate but you didn't overquote. So, kudos to you there.
I think this story ties in nicely with canon as well. It helps to explain Ron's loyalty to Harry and even some of the jealousy that comes later. In your story, Ron bonds with Harry partially because Harry also knows what it's like to be poor. However, later Ron becomes jealous of Harry's wealth. I mean, I'D be jealous of someone who was poor like me but later became wealthy when I didn't.

Author's response:
Well, seven years isn't going to pass by without any misfortune at all, so in that way, the ghoul is right. Of course, nobody could know that Voldemort was going to come back.
I think Ron was more upset about Harry 'keeping the secret' of how he put his name in the Goblet than jealous of him. He felt like he wasn't Harry's friend anymore. But I think his lack of money compared to Harry's fortune is difficult for Ron, because he'd like to treat Harry as well.
