Summary:

Before Nephrite was the third-ranked member of Prince Endymion's guard, he was Machk, the favorite son of Queen Isuza. This is the story of how he came to Elysian, who he befriended, who he loved, who he lost, and how he ultimately lost himself.

Author's Comments:

This story is likely going to be completed over the course of a series of challenges for Sailor Moon Monthly's December challenge, the Shitennou. I will keep a record of what chapters match up to which themes for those interested.

I haven't read this story in so long, and it's still as good as I remember it to be.

I won't say that I love this piece (even though I do) because I love absolutely everything that you write. What I will say is that this is absolutely the best Nephrite fic I have ever read, and most likely ever will read. I'm only on the first chapter and already I'm almost in tears.

Wow ... what?! So Kunzite isn't as cowardly as Machk thought he is? I am intrigued by this story and wondering why I haven't read it earlier. This is a truly unique gem complete with absolutely original ideas, one that is no doubt on its way to becoming one of the finest shitennou-centric epic. I am pining for more!
